After graduating the textile department in 2011 i opened my own weaving studio in south Tel aviv. For two whole years i struggled with the question how can i take the hand weaving process and combine it to become a new and contemporary product that will be traditional yet modern.
One day i came across a metal factory and decided to start collecting some leftovers of copper, brass, aluminium, stainless steel - anything that came my way. i went back to my studio and started to assemble the parts and weave them together on the loom. all parts are woven together and come off the loom in one piece ready to wear. thats how my first series came to life.
since then iv'e been finding new materials and applications to project into the technique.
In my work i get inspired by traditional, ethnic, tribal, biblical references and combine them with modern and geometric materials.
