Mercier & Co., launched in 2013, is a knitwear company with a modern approach to the traditional craft of crochet. Specializing in chunky woolen knits, Mercier and Co. offers classic, minimalist designs for a refined style. Every item the shop is designed and created by me, with meticulous attention to detail, to provide long-lasting, impeccable knitwear.

The name of my shop, Mercier and Co., celebrates the long line of Mercier women with a love for fiber artistry. My grandmother, Emma Mercier, whom this shop is named for, taught me to crochet, just as she was taught by her grandmother. My mother is an incredibly talented large-scale weaver who has displayed her work throughout the Southwestern United States. Our French and French Canadian ancestry is rich with talented women creating through weaving, needlepoint, quilting, yarn spinning, and other fiber arts. We all share a passion for sumptuous yarns and the meditative process of our craft. After several extreme life challenges, I made the intentional decision to live a more creative, fulfilling life. I returned to my fiber arts roots. A true minimalist at heart, I enjoy creating clean, modern designs that can serve as foundation pieces for every wardrobe.

~ I am a travel addict and have made it to 5 of our 7 continents
~ I have a Master's of Business Administration degree (MBA)
~ There isn't a cup of coffee I won't drink (I secretly love that murky black coffee from gas stations!)
~ My current obsession is tapestry weaving

All of my designs are original and handcrafted exclusively by me in a smoke and pet-free studio. Handmade in the U.S.A.
