Jessica and Hannah are equal partners in this mad sewing endeavor. Of course Jessica gets all the final say (she is the Mom) but usually Hannah does what she wants anyway (as the rebellious daughter.) They share an equal love for art, literature, nature, science, and pop culture. Ideas fly back and forth in some frenetic ADHD like brainstorm and notebooks are filled with sketches, quotes, and patterns. Somehow, it all comes together.

One week they sit and sew all the Jane Austen and Downton Abbey quotes they can think of, the next week they are sewing snarky sayings by the dozen, after that they sew flowers and keepsake wedding and anniversary pieces, then on to sewing movie quotes, then back to more snark......and repeat......

Jess has been focusing on creating portrait hoops that are unique recreations of photos you send. Her love of painting, something that requires a dedicated space and uninterrupted time, lends itself well to the portable nature of embroidery. Portrait hoops have taught Jess lots about patience, you can't rush hand sewing!

Hannah has largely taken over stitching all floral and saying hoops. It's the perfect way to chill out after chasing two toddlers! Hannah is up to stitch anything, send her your ideas and she'll make them a reality.

Turning embroidery from a hobby to a small business sort of happened by accident. There was no more room on their walls for their pieces so one day it hit them, open an ETSY shop! So far the response has been rewarding and Jessica and Hannah are loving the constant stream of requests and are always surprised and grateful when they make another sale. All this sewing keeps them out of trouble, for now.
