So cool! (And functional!) It even has the approval of the local Mockingbird, who uses our library as a lookout - now he sits up on the flying saucer, and has an alien for a co-librarian. Brilliant.

The stake is a little shorter than I'd hoped for; it puts the whirligig in line with the top of my chainlink fence, which hides it a little from the neighbors walking by...I bought this for their benefit! But it's nice, so I'm afraid to put it in the front yard for fear it will be stolen. The way this is designed, after the election (when hopefully we'll #VoteHimAway), I'll be able to paint this for garden art or cover it to be a deer deterrent.
