Frequently asked questions

Gift wrapping and packaging

All items are presented in a Hook and Teasel hand designed and embossed presentation box from my own illustration. If you are buying your piece as a gift, please contact me to include a note card.

Custom and personalised orders

All of the items I make are one off unique pieces.. However if you like a piece, please get in touch as a custom creation can be replicated or designed with your preferred colours, for your special occasion, celebration or gift. Matching items are available for necklaces, if you can't see the colour stud earring to match get in touch - 6mm and 10mm earring studs are available including two tone in the larger stud.

Sizing details

Often a collar has its own bespoke clasp or fixing, often handmade or using vintage finds. Crochet is versatile and can often be adjusted. Please see each item for this detail regarding neck width and whether each design is adjustable.

Care instructions

1. Ideally spot clean only on items that include natural elements and perishable adornments. Use a cool muslin cloth to freshen.

2. For those creations that are yarn, merino and steel based yarns you can hand wash these using tepid water, no warmer than 30 degrees with a drop of mild shampoo or fairy liquid.

3. Prepare a clean bowl of water (cool) and rinse lightly moving the piece through the water.

4. Shake of excess water, do not squeeze.

5. Leave to block dry naturally on a towel, lay flat and do not hang as this can stretch the piece.

Brooches should only be spot cleaned given the delicate multi media used.
