I started my shop after I showed my boyfriend a friend's artwork online. One of this artist's pieces was a large wall hanging decorated with bottle caps, each of which had a glassy eye inside it.

We both thought it was cool, and my boyfriend said, "I bet we could make something similar to that." Soon we were watching YouTube tutorials and saving our bottle caps. Fortunately for us, we drink a lot of beer.

While looking around a thrift store--one of my favorite pastimes--I figured that, in addition to bottle cap magnets, I could add my caps to other items. So I started buying interesting secondhand objects as canvasses, which you'll see in my store.

As for my headline ("crafting in spite of nosy cat"), anyone with a curious feline can relate: those pesky beasts are always getting all up in your business. Try cutting tiny pieces of paper and cardboard with a cat sniffing at them and pawing them off the coffee table. Everything has its challenges.
