I have always loved crafting. My earliest memories are going to my grandma's house and digging through her crafts. She loved to knit and crochet and make beaded Christmas ornaments like they used to do in the late 1960's. When I was a teenager, while my friends were outside playing, I was in my bedroom painting. I took tole painting classes and I spent all of my allowance money buying pieces of wood to paint on, or pattern books to make my newest masterpiece. Before I had children, my husband and I bought a little craft shop and we sold supplies of all kinds plus finished crafts as well. Once I had my three children, I found photography to be my newest venture, and it seemed only natural to preserve my photos in scrapbooks. I am still scrapping 25 years later.
I have been featured in all of the prominent scrapbook magazines back when there were actual magazines! I was published in Creating Keepsakes, Memory Makers, and Ivy Cottage. Memory Makers also used to publish Scrapbooking Idea Books, and I can be found in many of those books as well. I was also a team member on several online shop design teams.
Nothing brings me greater pleasure than to design scrapbook layouts. As a creative person, it feels so good to know that my customers are enjoying my work. I feel very strongly about preserving memories for future generations. I have recently lost my husband, and I cant tell you how comforting it is for me, and my children, to have those special memories of him preserved in my scrapbooks.
