Make a child’s off-road dreams come true with these bed plans. Includes 62 pages of detailed step-by-step instructions. I feel pictures help greatly to describe how to build something, so the plans are full of them. That is why there are so many pages :).

Photos in this listing are of beds I have built along with a sample page from the instructions.

The bed is designed for a twin sized mattress (39”x75”). Overall dimensions of the bed are approximately 6’10”L x 6’W x 4’9”H. Some people have built bed with tires on only one side to save room.

I identify a source of tires in the plans where you may get the tires for free. All other materials may be purchased at your local home improvement store.

As can be seen on the facebook page, some people have modified some of the width dimensions to fit a full size mattress.

If you can cut plywood and 2x4’s you have the skills to make this bed. (recommended tools are mitre saw, circular saw, router, drill, scroll saw, sander... of course there a many ways to make the same cut :) ). Another option would be to take the plans to a friend or local craftsman to build it for you.
