I encountered jewelry making in 2009 while at Pasadena, CA. Encouraged by a few friends whom liked what I was creating, I started designing and creating jewelry of all sorts to sell.

Shortly after, was introduced to my first 'technique' in jewelry making, 'cire perdue' or lost wax. It primarily consists of creating your original designs in wax which afterwards get casted throughout a centrifugal process or smelting- losing the wax by means of heat and injecting the metal in the mold created by the original wax. To me, this was the beginning of greater things.

With all this excitement, I decided to open a shop by creating also in 2009, www.roqueroque.etsy.com.

And now, with other jewelry workshops in hand, I continue learning and discovering the endless possibilities when working with metal.
