Frequently asked questions

How long will it take me to receive my file(s)?

Turnaround time is approximately 1 business day or less for files that are pre-made in my shop and only need your personalization. Custom designed-from-scratch files may take 2 business days at most.

Where are your files compatible?

FILES FORMATTED FOR PHOTO PAPER will be compatible with any photo lab or your home printer for the size photo paper you choose at checkout.

FILES FORMATTED FOR CARD STOCK will be formatted three 4 x 6 cards to an 8.5 x 11 PDF and two 5 x 7 cards to an 8.5 x 11 PDF, and will be compatible at any copy & print shop that does not require bleeds, such as Staples, Kinkos, Office Max, Office Depot, or from your home printer.

Do you print and ship items?

At this time, Designing for Peanuts only offers digital files for sale. This may change in the future.

Can I receive a refund?

Digital files cannot be returned, therefore, I cannot offer a refund for any item that has been personalized and emailed to you. The cost of the item you are purchasing is for the work I do on each project. I will work with you until you are 100% satisfied with your file(s).

What file type will my files be?

If you've ordered a file to be formatted for photo paper or to email out to your guests, you will receive a JPG.

If you've ordered a file to be formatted for card stock, you will receive a PDF.

Are your cards compatible with VistaPrint?

My cards are not currently compatible with VistaPrint as they do not offer the card size options in my shop without bleeds; however, I am more than happy to redesign a specific card for VistaPrint or any other print shop, provided that I know prior to personalization so that I may redesign to their specifications.

What format should my photos be in for print?

Photos should be a minimum of 300dpi for high-quality print jobs (anything less is meant for websites or proofing only). I cannot be held responsible for any photo that is low resolution and/or too small to fit the photo space. I always let you know if a photo is taken at a low resolution so that you have the chance to replace it before I email a proof/print-ready file. I cannot be held responsible for any photos that do not print clearly.

How can I reach you?

For the fastest response, please convo me right here on Etsy! You may also email me at designingforpeanuts@gmail.com. I do have three small children at home with different sleeping and homework schedules, so please TEXT ONLY to 732.492.6363.
