Welcome to Love Bag Making

We are so happy to offer a great collection of bag making supplies, patterns, fabrics, purse frames and hardware, notions, espadrille making supplies and other lovely haberdashery materials to help other people make their own lovely bags (my handmade bags are in my other shop now). If there is something you are looking for and don't see here, or if you would like a custom listing or other quantity, please convo me.

We are based in the UK but do ship internationally. We have two Etsy shops, this one and one for my own handmade items LoveEllieSolasach. We also have our own online shop for, you guessed it, bag making supplies and handmade, and looks a lot like this one only with more products and options than we have available here. We are hoping to have our own bricks and mortar shop premises real soon, so watch this space!

Delivery

SHIPPING METHOD, COSTS & OPTIONS
Flat rate shipping for UK orders only - £2.99 by standard 2nd class mail. Upgrade to 1st class and 1st class recorded options are available at checkout.

Flat rate shipping for International orders - ALL ORDERS PLACED AS FROM 25 MARCH 2016 are now sent by a trackable airmail service. Unfortunately we are not able to finesse the Etsy shipping options by weight, so please contact us for a more accurate shipping quote prior to ordering. An insured service is also possible. If you want insurance, please contact me and I will advise the additional cost.

UK orders - sent by Royal Mail.
International (outside UK) orders - sent by Royal Mail Airmail.
Airmail delivery varies by country. Average is 5-7 days but it can take longer due to busy periods, delays at inbound airports, customs and various other factors outwith our control but it can also surprise us and be a lot quicker than expected.

I will advise you via Etsy email when your item has been dispatched.

SHIPPING TIMES
We offer our customers prompt shipping - all orders are shipped 1-2 business days after payment clears. International orders are shipped 1-2 business days after payment clears. We will notify you by convo if there are any problems with the shipment of your order that may cause a delay. All items are sent by Royal Mail from the UK - please allow sufficient time for your order to arrive by airmail from the UK. Be aware that the minimum is 5-7 working days but please allow 1-4 weeks for delivery. It can on occasion take longer, at busy times of the year eg Christmas, Valentine's, Mother's Day etc and during delays caused by bad weather etc. Shipping costs do not include tracking, insurance, or the cost of any other tarrifs, customs, import duties etc.

SHIPPING OVERCHARGES - International
Significant shipping overcharges are refunded upon shipment of your order. We do combine shipping for multiple items for International orders. Overcharges are refunded in whole pounds / GBP / £ Sterling not anything less than a pound.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMS TAXES/FEES/IMPORT DUTIES
The buyer is responsible for any customs fees, duties and taxes that may be incurred on your purchase. These are NOT included in the item price or shipping costs. We run an ethical business so we cannot mark international shipments as "gifts" unless they are actually gifts being sent to a different delivery address and are so noted in the "notes to seller" box on the order.

SHIPPING TO COUNTRIES OUTSIDE THE UNITED KINGDOM
Prohibitions and Restrictions apply to some countries and are beyond our control. REVIEWS
If you are unhappy with your order, please contact us prior to giving us a bad review to at least give us the chance to fix the problem.

FABRICS
All fabrics are brand new, unwashed and cut straight from the bolt when ordered. All fabrics are obviously kept in a smoke free environment.

If you are ordering more than 1/2 yard, it will be in a continuous cut. If this is not possible, we will inform you prior to shipment.

MINIMUM CUTS
Currently, all cotton fabrics are sold as half yard cuts. We do not offer Fat Quarter or smaller cuts on our general listings but occasionally, we may list a smaller cut of fabric as a one off. We may also have prepackaged fat quarter bundles for sale.

COMMUNICATION
Please contact us through the etsy "convo" option. We answer conversations as quickly as possible but please be aware of the time difference for international enquiries. We also do not normally work on weekends. We try to answer all convos within 24 hours during working hours ie not during the night and not at weekends.

COLOUR REPRESENTATION
While every effort is made to represent colour accurately, every monitor, tablet, phone screen etc is different and we cannot guarantee the colours you see match the colours of actual fabric or other materials shown in listings.

PRICING
Our pricing is competitive. We do not offer any discounts or price matching.

CUSTOM LISTINGS
Custom listings are only kept active for 24 hours, after which they will be removed and the fabric taken off hold and put back in the shop. If you are unable to purchase your listing within the 24 hour period, you must contact us for an extension. There is no return on cut fabrics, interfacings, ribbons, lace, leather or anything that has been cut specially for you.

Custom and personalised orders

Due to the nature of personalised or custom orders, they are not returnable.

Why is Shipping a Flat Rate even if I'm only ordering...?

At the moment, Etsy does not offer shipping by weight options to UK shops. What this means is that we can refund significant shipping overcharges or we can create a custom order with more accurate shipping costs. Please request a custom order or send me a convo if you are interested in this option.

Why haven't you responded to my message?

As stated in our shop policies, we are based in the UK. Our shop hours are also posted in our shop policies. If you contact us outwith these hours, there may be a delay in replying due to time zone differences or because it is outside our normal working hours. We try to answer as soon as possible but we do not work 24/7.
