Frequently asked questions
What is a digital collage sheet?
It's an 8.5x11 inch .jpg or PDF file with high-resolution (300 dpi) images on it. You can then print out your file again and again at home or at a copy store using cardstock, photo paper, sticker paper, and more for personal crafts or to make items to sell.
When will I get my collage sheet?
Your download email should come through immediately unless you're paying via e-check (in which case the file will be delivered once the check clears).
How does the copyright thing work?
Piddix ONLY uses legally obtained images. I write letters to publishing houses and authors (all of which I have on file), pour through old copyright renewal notices, have a lawyer with whom I consult on a regular basis, and create my own original designs. A full description of how I determine copyrights is available on my blog:
http://piddix.blogspot.com/2008/03/copyright-and-digital-collage-sheets.html
What's the quality like?
Piddix images are the absolute highest quality available. All piddix collage sheets are 300 dots-per-inch, the perfect resolution for printing. I'm a bit of a perfectionist, so I can spend hours with my camera, scanner, Illustrator and PhotoShop restoring and perfecting each image. Check my feedback to see what other people are saying.
What can I do with these sheets? Can I make items to sell?
With your purchase, you receive the right to use each image up to 100 times for your personal or commercial crafts including jewelry, cards, collages, buttons, pocket mirrors, tags, pendants, etc. Images may not be shared or used for any types of digital sales or giveaways. For the full terms of use, see:
http://www.piddix.com/terms.html
Can I re-size the images?
Yes! You can copy, paste, and re-size any of the images in a graphic design software. You can even do it in Word! I've written up a tutorial on how to do so using Microsoft Word. After your purchase, contact me if you're interested and I'll send you a copy for free, or here's a good place to start:

Where do you get your images?
I travel across the country with my scanner visiting dozens of archives personally, haunt second-hand shops and estate sales, and have walls and boxes full of more than 25,000 vintage cards, books, photographs and ephemera that I own. If you want to know where a specific image is from, please feel free to ask.
