Hi! My name is Donna and The Spotted Hook is my little home away from home on the internet. When not working, I'm a mum to 2 rather energetic children and help my husband renovate houses (or keep him sane during his Masters study - whichever part of life we may be in). Some days though, I'd rather just curl up with a good book and cuddle with my cat, Polly.

Crochet is a hobby of mine, but my fingers would get sore from using the thin hooks so at the request of a friend, back in 2011 I started making the handles from polymer clay. Of course, they had to be fun and colourful, and what's more fun than polka dots?

And so The Spotted Hook came about.

I take great delight in all things handmade and each of my special little hooks are lovingly crafted in my home studio in Brisbane, Australia. I believe that even the supplies you use to create pieces of handmade art should be beautiful themselves. What better feeling is there than to create a thing of beauty with something that is beautiful?

I am constantly growing and developing as a person and so it is with The Spotted Hook. The aim is to bring you beautiful and quality craft supplies and items that you will love to work with and will make you smile.
