Ammonites are perhaps the most widely known fossil, possessing the typically ribbed spiral-form shell as pictured above. These creatures lived in the seas between 240 - 65 million years ago, when they became extinct along with the dinosaurs. Most ammonite shells are coiled, and all contain a series of linked chambers. The body of the ammonite was contained within the large final, open-ended section called the living or head chamber, from which the tentacles were extended to catch prey. The opening of the shell - called the aperture - was possibly covered by a protective shield that could shut to protect the ammonite from other predators.

Please treat your jewelry with care. Do not swim, shower or get any of the jewelry wet! Store the items in a cool, dry place such as a jewelry box/bag that was provided.
With time and use moisture and oils will build up on your jewelry. You can wipe off this tarnish with a jewelry cloth or jewelry cleanser specific to your metal (gold fill, sterling silver, etc.)

If your item does break I am more then happy to fix it.
I can provide you with a pre-paid shipping label to mail it back and you will be responsible for shipping costs and a nominal charge depending on the repair.

All jewelry is handmade. Please do not expect it to be perfect. Crystals are all made by nature so there will be natural imperfections. Our jewelry is not made to be perfect nor is intended to look like a machine made product. If you are expecting a perfect item (ex. Quartz crystals that are crystal clear) please do not order. Many designs are made with raw stones which will have natural cracks, inclusions and each piece will vary.

I’ve been looking at ammonite necklaces for months, trying to pick the perfect one. I’m so glad I went with this one. The chain is shiny and substantial and I love the silver edge around the pendant - a nice contrast to the earthy fossil. So great! Thanks for another awesome piece!
