Frequently asked questions
How do I order the correct bracelet size?
For bracelets, it's a 2 step process.
First, get a snug wrist measurement, if the wrist measures 7", order the 7" medium size. The necessary wiggle room is built in. If you go up a full size, the bracelet will be very loose. My wrist is 6 3/4" and wear the 7" bracelet with a bit of extra wiggle room. The 6.5" fits exact, no wiggle room.
Every bracelet listing has clickable links for viewing bracelets available by wrist measurement. So the second step is to click on a bracelet listing or mobile users need to click ITEM DETAILS. Scroll down far enough to see the blue links next to wrist sizes.
If you need help with this, send a message and include the snug wrist measurement. Questions regarding size are answered as quick as I can.
Are the bracelets durable? What quality can I expect?
Bracelets are put together with surgical stainless steel split rings for durability and will not come apart.
The rings make it possible to add charms without dismantling the bracelet.
The lobster claws are also stainless steel so they will not tarnish or change color and are hypoallergenic.
Magnetic clasps come with a safety catch, when used, there is no way for the bracelet to fall off.
My magnetic clasps (very strong) are one piece: beware of those that are two pieces held together with glue, they will eventually work loose & fall out.
The magnetic clasp should not get wet since it is not stainless steel.
All of my spoon jewelry is made from genuine vintage silverware, never a replica.
Expect a scratch or ding, jewelry has never been worn
Do you accept exchanges?
Some rings can be re-sized, not returned or exchanged. If it can be re-sized, the only cost is shipping both ways. I charge $4 (cash) for return shipping which is to be included in the package when sending the ring back to be re-sized. It will need to be packaged as sent or protected to guard against damage by the post office. Please send a message for more information such as return address, tracking information, and an authorization code, etc. Packages without an authorization code will be returned to sender, unopened.
When will my order ship? When will I receive my package?
Items ship (leave here) within 0-3 business days, travel time is up to USPS. Gifts can be shipped directly to your loved one by changing the ship to address during check out. A BRIEF hand written message can be added to the gift tag by adding a note to seller during check out. Please check that the shipping address is correct after placing an order, it is on the receipt. Please add a note to seller letting me know the package is going directly to the gift recipient so I know to wrap the item.
Shipping / Packaging is reusable/recyclable
Please make sure your address is correct with PayPal and Etsy BEFORE paying. Changes after paying will not reflect on orders before the change.
I have never had a lost or damaged package, but in case it should happen the insurance carrier has a few requirements before paying on a claim. Photos of packaging and/or damaged item and a signed affidavit need to be provided by the customer. Cooperation in filing the claim is needed. I don't make the rules but we all need to follow them since mail fraud is a federal crime.
All packaging is reusable/recyclable.
Do you gift wrap?
Yes, gift wrap is available for purchase during check out, cost is $1.00 per box. There is the option to supply a BRIEF message (which will be hand written onto a gift tag) and tied with a ribbon. If gift wrap is not purchased, item will arrive in a new bubble pouch only.
How do I order the correct ring size?
If you are unsure of your ring size it is best to be professionally measured by a local jeweler, then add 1/4 for band spoon rings and 1/2 for spiral wrap rings.
Usually, the petite rings in my shop will fit the same as traditional rings. When ordering rings online, be open to the fact that it may need to be re-sized.
Rings can always be sent back here for re-sizing, customer pays shipping both ways. Please include $4 with the ring for return postage and always use tracking (save the tracking number).
Or try a local jeweler.
How do I care for silverware jewelry?
Silver stays shiniest when worn often. Keep in a sealed plastic bag when not worn. Occasionally buff with a silver polishing cloth. The magnetic clasp should not get wet. Stainless steel components will not tarnish or change color.
This information is sent with each piece along with silverware pattern identification and year.
Do you accept returns?
Returns are not accepted. Following the steps for getting the correct bracelet size are supplied in every area of my shop, and the only requests for returns/exchanges are by people who do not follow this information. I don't get any other return requests.
Requests for custom and discounts
I am unable to take custom requests at this time and only use my silverware here.
To be fair, everyone pays the same price. Requests for a discount will go unanswered.
