5 out of 5 starsI had been on the fence about painting a chalk wall at our lake house but went in this direction after realizing we’re always on the hunt for scrap paper to keep board game scores. This piece is perfect because it can hang on the wall and be our list location and can easily be pulled down for board games, etc. We love it!

5 out of 5 starsI couldn't be happier. Well packaged, simple installation and really comfortable! I opted for the synthetic rope due to coarseness of real rope but was concerned the synthetic wouldn't look quite right. Pleasantly surprised, and would recommend the synthetic version if asked.

I would be happy to help customized one of our current listings, or to make a whole new item that you've dreamed up. Just message me with a description of what you have in mind and we will discuss the details.
Where does the wood come from?
The lumber used is from barns in rural Missouri that range from 40 years to over 100 years old. Many barns fall into disrepair and are falling down and we work with the owners to get all the usable barn wood so it can go on to have a second life. Many of these barns would just be burned or left to rot so it is a lot of fun to reclaim the lumber and make it into usable items.
Will I get splinters from the rough wood?
It is unlikely that you would get a splinter from a barn wood product. We lightly sand each piece to take off the roughest parts and this smooths it slightly (and brings out beautiful variation in the wood color!). However, the wood is still rustic barn wood and anything is possible!
Can I put my barn wood product outside?
Most of the barn wood we use has spent over 50 years outside in the weather and there is no reason it couldn't spend some more time outside. The color and look of the item could continue to change due to weathering if placed outdoors.
Will my purchase look just like the listing photo?
The item you receive will not be the exact same as the photo but will be very close. Items made from real barn wood can't be replicated perfectly due to the lovely uniqueness of each piece of wood. However, I strive to choose wood colors and textures that are as similar as possible to the listing photos so there are no surprises. If you have any questions about a specific product, don't hesitate to contact me.
