We are super excited to finally reveal our latest collaboration! We've joined forces with the talented Rebecca Daryl Smith to create a small collection of hand made fine art wall tapestries and couch throws. These pieces are hand made with love using traditional techniques and the finest locally sourced materials. They will bring beauty and serenity to any space and will surely be loved for generations.
...
Rebecca started weaving while studying Fibre and Textile Arts in upstate New York. She continued to explore Fibre arts and its many applications in Baltimore before purchasing her first loom in 2012. Since then she has been hooked on all things weaving-discovering an affinity for traditional technique, color, and pattern. Her focus on habitual process gives her large woven pieces a sense of serenity, simplicity, and universality. She currently works out of Brooklyn, NYC.
Rebecca's weavings are enhanced with natural materials from Silverwood, the B&B home studio in the Laurentians of Quebec. Driftwood, metal, white birch and dark grey maple complement the colours of wool and contrast with the diamond pattern that Rebecca plays with in her weaving.
