Fleece car seat ponchos for boys and girls are like a soft embrace that will keep your child warm and safe. Inspired by the cuddles and giggles the best blanket can give a little one, I've created a cozy treat that can be taken on the go!

Rather than restrict your child with a backwards winter jacket when you want to keep them buckled up but warm, wrap them in a car seat poncho in their favorite color or print.

Each time you have to take your child in the car, you will appreciate the special features in Elaine Searer fleece car seat ponchos. Your poncho will be made using two layers of anti-pill fleece. Your favorite feature is sure to be the two-way zipper that makes buckling a breeze. Your child will love the hand slits that provide freedom while riding in the car. You can use the wrist snaps to create a comfortable sleeve once your child is out of the car seat. Because of these features, ElaineSearer ponchos make winter easier for you and your little ones!

Ponchos are now available with or without the hood. Ponchos without a hood will be finished with a neckband in place of the hood. You can choose the detachable hood option from the drop down menu when placing your order.

All product measurements are included in each listing description. When ordering a poncho, the most important measurement is the length. My general advice is this, "When in doubt, size up!"

Custom ponchos cannot be exchanged for a different size! Please message me before ordering (or within 24 hours of placing your order) if you want to discuss poncho sizing.

Our extra warm ponchos have a layer of quilt batting sewn between the two layers of fleece. This extra layer provides a lot of extra warmth without adding a lot of extra bulk.

Extra warm ponchos are quite popular among customers in the northern and western United States and Canada.

Here are some things to consider when choosing regular or extra warm:

~Will your car be warm when you put your child in his/her car seat?
~Do you plan to wear the poncho on your child only in the car or for other outdoor activities?
~Does your child tend to get too warm quickly or does your child mind the cold?

A custom order is any item that you customize by choosing the size, fabric, and style. Keep in mind that custom orders are not returnable. Exchanges are allowed only under certain circumstances. For hygiene reasons, we do NOT accept returns on hat orders. If you have questions about your order and whether or not it is eligible for return or exchange, please contact us.

Unfortunately, because of copyright issues, we don't sell items made with licensed fabrics. This is always confusing for shoppers because many shop owners do sell licensed fabric items. In some instances, Etsy shops have been closed down for copyright infringement, and we've decided not to risk it. We are happy to work with you on an order using any of the fabrics that we have in stock.

Because my car seat poncho is circular, I am not able to customize the lengths of the ponchos. If you would like a longer poncho, the best thing to do is to buy a larger size. If you are planning to order a size 6 poncho and would like a longer length, I recommend ordering a junior size poncho (older kid's poncho). These ponchos for older/taller children are shaped differently, but will still work in a car seat. Because of the difference in design, the junior size poncho and wheelchair poncho lengths can be customized.
