Jewelry is packaged in either a jewelry box tied with colored ribbon, or packaged in an organza bag, ready for gifting. Packaging is specified on the listing. Suncatchers are packaged in a handmade box and tied with colored ribbon.

If you would like to include a personalized note to your gift recipient, please include your message in the "note to seller" at check out, and I will hand write it on a card for you.

I ship most items in a recyclable poly bubble mailer to keep everything protected from damage and from rain & snow.

To save on paper waste, I no longer be include a printed copy of the invoice with your order, unless you request it prior to shipping. Your invoice will be emailed to you.

I am currently accepting custom order requests. I will work with you to create something magical. Work starts on custom orders when they are paid in full.

It can take up to two weeks to create your item, however most are completed within a few days of ordering. If you have a specific deadline, please let me know - I'll do what I can to make it happen.

Keep your jewelry dry; take it off before showering or sleeping. Use only a soft cloth to clean your jewelry - avoid immersing it in water or cleaning solution.

Some gemstones are dyed - the dye may run if exposed to water. Some stones may fade with prolonged sun exposure. Raw copper and sterling silver will oxidize, turning a darker colour. Many people find this adds to the beauty of the piece. Metal may be restored to its original shiny appearance with a commercial copper or silver polish. Take care to apply any such agent to the metal only, as these solutions may damage gemstones and crystals.

Most alloys and other metals will tarnish eventually. Sometimes polish can be used to brighten them - use with caution.

If your piece needs repair, message me with a photo of the issue. I will send you the address to ship your item for repair. You are responsible for the shipping charge to me, however, I will cover the cost of shipping back to you.

NOTE: it may not be possible to exactly re-create an item, depending on design and availability of materials. In that case, I may need to change the design or materials used, or replace the item with another of equal value.

Item sizes are included on each listing. Sizes are approximate, and may vary by a small amount due to the handmade nature of the items.

I finish most necklaces myself, so they can be customized to a length of your choosing. If length options are not offered for a listing, and you would like a different length chain than specified in the listing, please include your request in the "note to seller".

Most necklace listings have an image showing how different chain lengths fit on different body shapes do help you choose. See the FAQ entry on necklace lengths for a description. If you are uncertain of the chain length you need, I can include a 2" chain extender free of charge with your order -- just let me know in the "note to seller".

The choice of length will depend largely on the preference and size of the person wearing the it.

Standard women's sizing:
14" to 16" chains will fit like a choker.
16" to 18" chain will fall between the lower neck and bust line.
20" to 24" chains will fall around the bust line.
24" to 30" chains will fall around the breast bone.
>30" will fall to the stomach.

Plus sizes:
Choose a necklace one "size" bigger for the same fit. E.g. an 18" necklace will fit like a 16" necklace on most plus size women.

Men:
Lengths typically start at 18", which will fit slightly longer than choker length.

Children:
Age 3 - 7: 14"
Age 7 - 13: 16"
13 and older: 18"

If you are unsure, message me; I will include a 2" chain extender, free of charge.

Generally yes. I cannot provide refunds or exchanges for custom family tree sun catchers or family tree necklaces due to the personalized nature of the items. If there is a problem with your personalized order, please contact me and I will work with you to correct the issue.

For some wire wrapped gemstones, an exchange may not be possible if I no longer stock the stone. If I still have stock, you will receive a different (but very similar) stone than the one used in the original piece. If I no longer stock the stones, I can offer an exchange for a similar stone, a different/size or style, or a different stone of your choosing.

Contact me within the timeframes listed in my policies to request an exchange. Return the item (using tracked, insured shipping) to me within 21 days of receipt. You are responsible for shipping costs.

For exchanges to a lower priced item:
When I receive the item, I will refund the price difference and make and ship the new item to you.

For exchanges to a higher priced item:
I will create a custom order for the difference in price for you to purchase. When I receive the original item AND you purchase the custom order, I will make and ship the new item to you.

NOTE: when exchanging a gemstone necklace (e.g. exchanging copper for silver) you will receive a different stone than was used the original item.
