Additional policies and FAQs

A few words about vegetable dye:

Each plant gives many different colors: thus the dye made with plants always gives unique, varied and very pleasing to the eye shades.
In addition, the dyeing done by hand with plants gives an "organic", soft and patinated, uneven side which is, in fact, the sign that it is not industrial but authentic - collectors, in particular of old carpets, are looking for this effect - the more intense the color, the more marked the effect can be. Today, it is the mark of an aesthetic, ecological and caring approach.

All our photos are taken in natural light and we take care to ensure that the colors in the photos are faithful to what our eyes see live. However, plant colors often cover more tones and are more subtle hues. On the other hand, not all computer screens show the same color shades: there may be variations.
If you wish, we can send you a photo with primary colors next to what you want or if you are hesitating between two creations, send you photos side by side to better choose :)

A few words about the care of our items:

- Blouses, scarves, cushions, table runners: the plants used (pastel, indigo, madder, mignonette, eucalyptus, etc.) have excellent durability over time. To maintain all the beauty, softness of the fibers and depth of the natural colors, we advise you to wash your blouse or scarf by hand in cold or lukewarm water with a mild detergent. For even more softness we use an organic conditioner as a rinse or a little vinegar (the smell will disappear once dry).

- Ribbons, bracelets and necklaces are dyed with more varied plants (pastel, indigo, madder, eucalyptus but also avocado, tree bark, turmeric, berries, etc.) for gentle cold washing - certain pigments ( e.g. turmeric yellow) may have less resistance to light, will take on softer colors over time and may be sensitive to the pH of the water.

- Silver: real silver can oxidize and take on a slightly gray tone after being worn. We love this aged-vintage look. However, cleaning with appropriate products or even toothpaste will restore its original appearance.

Our search for gentleness for humans... and the planet :)
Our items are designed with special attention to those with sensitive skin.
The materials are natural, the vegetable dyes, organic.
Our workshop is smoke-free and pet-free, only Little Bear is allowed ;)
