Hello, I am Wendy Reyes the owner and designer here at CraftingWithMama. CWM started as a hobby, I started painting wood signs, and up cycling/ repurposing items for my own home, and it quickly became a business. CWM was a dream that I never knew I had! Each piece is handcrafted by me, with detail and care.
What I love about working with wood is I feel connected to the man who passed down his tools to me. When my late Grandfather was diagnosed with Alzheimer's he was no longer able to do the things he loved, so this gave me the chance to find a medium that I really love to work with. I am self taught, using his old books, trial and error, and researching I enjoy learning new techniques. Working with wood guarantees that each piece is unique due to each one's character. Each piece is made one at a time, carefully by hand. Working with real wood this makes each creation a unique, one of a kind piece. Just like a person each one is unique! I love to learn new things, if I don't carry it I will try it!
I am a big believer that beauty is everywhere. Simple things inspire me everyday to help make my beautiful creations. I know that a beautiful piece can invoke different emotions. My dream is to help bring those emotions to life and bring a smile to each of my customers. I took a long break when our son was born but this Mama of 3 is ready to create again! Thank You for being a part of my dream.
