Maker, Designer, Owner
I have been a full-time potter for the last twenty years but before finding my calling I worked as a science teacher, whitewater guide and park ranger. My favorite break from work? Backpacking one of America's long trails.

Gift Wrapping Option
I use a sturdy white paper (recycled!) that I personalize with hand-stamps and finish with a bow and a gift card with your message. I don't include pricing and I will confirm that I prepared your selection as a gift when I ship it.
Care Instructions
My glazes are food-safe and may be used in the microwave, dishwasher, freezer and oven. For oven use, place the pottery into a cold oven that has not been preheated. You want to prevent a quick temperature change. The kind of clay I use is called "stoneware" and is robust enough for everyday use. It is pure white in color on the bottom. Feel free to set it in a shallow dish of dilute bleach if the color ever needs to be rejuvenated.
Packaging and Breakage
I securely wrap my pottery in layers of cardboard then nestle it with packing peanuts inside a corrugated shipping box. However, if your pottery gets damaged during shipment within the US, don't worry, it is insured. If the shipping was by First Class I will just send you a replacement. Just send me a photo of the damaged piece within a few days. If the shipping was by Priority Mail it is fully insured by the Post Office. You will need to take the broken pottery, a copy of your Etsy invoice and the shipping materials to your Post Office to file a claim for them to reimburse you. If you order a replacement from me, I will include a bonus piece of pottery to make up for your inconvenience.
Custom and Personalized Orders
Running a one-person studio doesn't allow me much time to take on special orders but I'm always willing to hear what you have in mind.
The Nature of Handmade
Each piece is handmade on the wheel and just a little bit different and I follow the tradition in folk pottery of the South to leave evidence of my hand in the creative process. With this in mind I work hard to make sure the piece you receive matches my listing and I stand behind my work. If you're not happy, neither am I!
Shipping
I try to get your selections into your hands ASAP! Your purchase will almost always ship the next business day. Although domestic Priority Mail is not guaranteed at 2 to 3 days, it's pretty reliable.
