This Privacy Policy describes how and when I collect, use, and share information when you purchase an item from me, contact me, or otherwise use my services through Etsy.com or its related sites and services.

I respect your privacy. I will not sell, or trade, your information. Like you, I hate spam and so will NEVER, EVER spam you or do anything to cause other people to do it.

Information I Collect
To fulfil your order and to provide you with the best customer service possible, I need certain information from you (which you authorised Etsy to provide to me), such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information (but not credit-card details), and the details of the product that you’re ordering. If we’re making something special together, such as a custom order, a personalised item, or even just a personal message to be included on a card, you may choose to provide me with additional personal information, the details of which will be stored with your order.

To avoid learning your credit card information, payments are processed by Etsy’s secure payment system. As such, I never learn or store your credit card information.

Why I Need Your Information and How I Use It
I want to make sure you get the best possible experience when making a purchase from me, so I need to collect some information to make that happen. In doing so, I rely on several legal bases to collect, use, and share your information, including:
• as needed to provide my services, such as when I use your information to fulfil your order, to settle disputes, or to provide customer support;
• when you have provided your specific and affirmative consent (i.e. via an OPT-IN sign up form), which you may revoke at any time, such as by signing up for my mailing list;
• if necessary to comply with a legal obligation or court order or in connection with a legal claim, such as retaining information about your purchases if required by tax law; and
• as necessary for my legitimate interests, if those legitimate interests are not overridden by your rights or interests, such as 1) providing and improving my services. I use your information to provide the services you requested and in my legitimate interest to improve my services; and 2) Compliance with the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use. I use your information as necessary to comply with my obligations under the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use.

How I collect your information
Information about my customers is important to the efficient administration of my business. I have the ability to collect your information in three ways, although not all may apply to you. In the course of your interaction with this site, I may collect:

1. The information you manually provide to Etsy when making a purchase.
The types of information collected include things like your name, address, email address, and payment details. NOTE: Your credit-card information is not revealed to me, Naomi Etheridge (or Stone Cat Ceramics) but is solely processed and stored by Etsy. This information can be tied directly to you because of the information you’ve provided.

2. The information that is automatically collected via third-party partners:
(a) Google analytics. The types of information collected include things like: Your geographical location, the pages you visit and for how long, the link on which you clicked to reach this page (e.g. an advertisement, a direct link in an email, a google search, etc).
This information is provided to me in the aggregate (i.e. it’s not identifiable to you).
(b) Mailchimp (only via an opt-in form). The opt-in form collects: Your email address, your name.
This information can be tied directly to you because of the information you’ve provided.

3. The information you manually provide me by completing a contact form or specifically signing up to my email list.
This information can be tied directly to you because of the information you’ve provided.

Information Sharing and Disclosure
I share your personal information only when absolutely necessary and in limited circumstances, as follows:
- To Etsy. I share information with Etsy as necessary to provide you my services and comply with my obligations under both the Etsy Seller Policy and Etsy Terms of Use.
- To delivery companies (including country-specific postal services). I engage certain trusted third parties for the sole purpose of delivering my items to you. I will share your personal information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these services.
- During a business transfer. If I sell or merge my business (Stone Cat Ceramics), I may disclose your information as part of that transaction, only to the extent permitted by law, and only when you have specifically opted-in to my email list (i.e. allowed Stone Cat Ceramics to send you emails directly to your private email address).
- To comply with laws. I may collect, use, retain, and share your information if I have a good-faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) respond to legal process or to government requests; (b) enforce my agreements, terms and policies; (c) prevent, investigate, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, and safety of my customers, or others.

Data Retention
I retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with my services and as described in my Privacy Policy. However, I may also be required to retain this information to comply with my legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce my agreements. I generally keep your data for the following time period: 4 years.

Transfers of Personal Information Outside Australia
I may store and process your information through third-party hosting services in the US, Australia and other jurisdictions. As a result, I may transfer your personal information to a jurisdiction with different data protection and government surveillance laws than your jurisdiction. If I am deemed to transfer information about you outside of Australia, I rely on Privacy Shield and ISO 27018-compliant cloud services as the legal basis for the transfer, as Dropbox is Privacy Shield certified and ISO 27018-compliant.

Your Rights
If you reside in certain territories, including the EU, you have several rights in relation to your personal information. While some of these rights apply generally, certain rights apply only in certain limited cases. I describe these rights below:
- Access. You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold about you by contacting me using the contact information below.
- Change, restrict, delete. You may also have rights to change, restrict my use of, or delete your personal information. Excluding exceptional circumstances (like where I am required to store data for legal reasons) I will generally delete your personal information upon request.
- Protest. You can protest to (i) my processing of some of your information based on my legitimate interests and (ii) receiving marketing messages from me after providing your express consent to receive them. In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.
- Complaint. If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about my use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.
