If you really must know...

My journey as an artist began as a small child. While other children played at recess, I would carry my art supplies outdoors and draw. It was my novice attempt at Plein Aire painting... I always had an entourage of children and teachers watching!

Over the last 30+ years, I have been a "working artist", my labor of love. My work includes commercial and residential murals, fine art and portraits.I am currently a contracted pet portrait artist for one of the nations leading online pet supply companies. I paint, on average, 120+ pet portraits each month. I welcome custom commissions! I am also a published artist and and currently represented by the fine art gallery, The Charleston Artists Guild Gallery in the coastal region of South Carolina.

I primarily work with water based mediums, using "whatever it takes" to create the effect I need. I prefer working with mediums that are environmentally friendly as much as possible. I am greatly inspired by the romantic style of Art Nouveau, such as Mucha and Cheret, but I also love the American artist, Norman Rockwell. He was always able to tell a story and capture personalities with such amazing realism. My greatest joy comes from simply picking up a pencil or a brush and putting on canvas the images in my mind. I love being able to share with others my vision, sometimes quirky, sometimes realistic, but always a part of my soul...

Through the years, I have worked side by side and learned from some incredibly talented artists. To these ones, I credit my growing skills. I'm always on a quest for new opportunities to learn and improve in my art and inspire others to do the same!
