These shoes have blown me away! They look exactly like the picture and fit my feet perfectly!! The leather makes my feet feel like they're being hugged by butter. And I can't say enough about the customer service. To tell on myself, I was going through a hard time when I purchased these and my anxiety was transferred to the shoes, I had about 7 too many messages to the seller and I couldn't be more apologetic and thankful at the same time. LOL If you are on the fence, Buy them - you won't regret it! And final words....trust the process. :)

What a beautiful and elegant shoe. After working so hard throughout the holiday season, I thought I would reward myself and like a little kid was excited to receive these. This is such a nice, timeless design and comfortable too. I have worked in shoe repair and had a hobby of making shoes for some time, so I can say the craftsmanship and materials used are excellent.

Welcome to Katz and Birds. Here you can find a collection of fine handmade shoes for women, created with careful attention to comfort, detail and style.

My name is Hadas Katz and I’m the owner of Katz and Birds.
I’ve always had a "passion for fashion" and a great love for shoes. I studied shoe and fashion design at Shenkar College of Design and Engineering in Israel.

After working as a designer for two companies, I decided to create my own label. I wanted to offer my clientele a shoe that has it all—comfort and style. A mix of elegant, classic design, with a twist! A progressive touch and an upbeat vibe that has never been seen before.

My goal is to create shoes that are great for walking around in the city all day long, yet are beautiful and complementary to your outfit or evening attire.
I wear mostly flat shoes. I believe in comfort, and I know that you don’t have to sacrifice comfort to wear fashionable clothing accessories.
Shoes are the finishing touch, with the ability to enhance your look and lend sophistication to upgrade every outfit to the extraordinary.
All of my products are handmade the traditional way, beautifully crafted using soft, high-quality materials., My shoe last is shaped like a bird’s beak, and designed to leave enough room for your toes and bones, always keeping your comfort in mind.

I work in Tel Aviv, side by side with our wonderful shoemaker, who has learned this profession from his father.
In my free time you’ll find me enjoying the company of my husband, our two cats and our golden retriever. We live and work in beautiful Tel Aviv. I have been a vegan for the past five years. I love all kinds of arts and crafts and I draw inspiration from nature, animals and design.
In my collection you will be able to find some clean, elegant, sexy designer looks,
next to classics, manly Oxfords, with an edgy twist. Part of the collection includes charming, artistic, unique and original designs. Every personality can find and relate to some design.
For me personally, this brand is so much more than a business; it is a way to share my dream with others. It's a way to share my passion—to celebrate femininity of all kinds and make art, style and inspiration a part of our lives, coming in from our wardrobe.

Care instructions

It's recommended to take care of the leather regularly.
Start by cleaning the shoe with a soft brush, then conditioning the leather with nutrients, in order to keep it breathing, soft and hydrated.
Use a cream/shoe polish - without color or with the closest color you can find to the leather (depending on if it needs coloring or not).
For shine, you can use wax.

There are many brands on the market, follow the instructions on the bottle.

Sizing details

Sizing– You should choose the size you normally wear, but in order for us to be sure of the correct shoe size, it is recommended for you to measure your feet size and send me the result. In each listing, the width and length of each size are detailed in the listing description. Please check in accordance. Please see the last image of each listing an image for instruction on how to measure your feet. I recommend measuring your feet at the end of your day. If your feet are a bit wider, that is not a problem – just let me know and I will adjust the shoes according to your size. The shoes are made of premium leather and normally will fit itself according to your foot. If you are not sure which size you are, please contact me for assistance.

Your shoes will be protected in their box from damage and rain.

Sizing Details

We reccomand measureing your feet's length and circumference according to the drawing added to each listing.
Find your shoe size according to your feet's measurements.
Each listing has it's own size table, that differs due to different shoe-last designs.
( Shoe-last =the foot-shaped template over which the shoe is manufactured )
Its the best way because different companies have different size tables.

If your feet are a bit wider, that is not a problem –The shoes are made of premium leather and normally will fit itself according to your foot.
