Hello, I love creating obscure works of art that push the boundary between adorable and horrifying. I view my art as a tribute to the animals that once lived, providing them with a new life. I hope you enjoy my little creations -no animals are harmed

Frequently asked questions

Care instructions

Every item that I create is a work of art and should be treated with the utmost care. Most of my work contains real and ethically sourced animal bones that are small and extremely fragile. Many of my items are contained inside of glass bottles or jars, which may break if exposed to extreme temperature changes. The dragon eggs I create are made with real bird eggs and are extremely fragile. Please be very careful about handling, transporting, and storing my works of art. Please keep all items away from moisture, direct sunlight, sources of heat, children, and animals. You are responsible for the safety and well-being of the items purchased. Do not bang, drop, step-on, throw, or otherwise bring about harm to the items.

Custom and personalized orders

Please contact me with any requests for custom items.

Where do you get your bones?

The majority of my bones are meticulously dissected from owl pellets. Larger bones are ethically sourced via donations, surplus from my taxidermy projects, and occasional purchases.

What does "Ethically Sourced" mean?

For me, “Ethically Sourced” means that the animal or insect (from which I am using the bones or parts) was not intentionally killed by a human for the purpose of art, sport, cruelty, or profit. I strongly believe that no part of an animal should go to waste if any parts can be salvaged.

Please be aware that I will occasionally use vintage or craft quality parts that would otherwise be discarded. I also use leftover remains from animals that have been hunted/humanely killed for the purpose of harvesting the meat for food.

Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns!

What is an owl pellet?

When an owl is hungry, it will go hunting and devour its prey. Unfortunately, owls don’t have any teeth so instead of chewing their food they take large bites and end up swallowing a lot of indigestible materials. These materials (bones, fur, and feathers) are compacted and regurgitated in the form of a pellet.

Do you have any bat skeletons/skulls?

No. The majority of bat skulls and skeletons are imported into the United States and I have yet to find a source that meets my ethical standard. There is a growing movement in the vulture culture community to move away from these imported bat remains due in part because they are not sustainably harvested. I urge you to please do your research before you purchase any bat skeleton/skull/taxidermy specimen.

Returns for Damaged Item(s)

All sales are final. I do not accept or offer returns, exchanges, or refunds. If your purchase arrives and is damaged, you will need to contact me within 24 hours of the item's arrival. You will need to take pictures of the box, my packaging, and the broken item(s). You will need to keep all packaging and follow all instructions governed by USPS or insurance company, which may include physically bringing the packing to their designated office. Failure to comply with required insurance claim procedures will forfeit your claim to any and all possible refunds. Patience is required. If the insurance company denies the claim, no refund will be given.

Wrong Address or Un-deliverable Mail

All sales are final. I do not accept or offer returns, exchanges, or refunds. It is your responsibility to ensure you have entered the correct address during checkout. Once the label is printed, I can not make changes or adjustments to your order. If the package is delivered to the wrong address, there is nothing I can do, no refunds will be issued. If the package is marked un-deliverable, if or when it arrives back to my location, a custom listing will be created for you with additional shipping and handling fees. You will be charged the amount listed during the original checkout period or the current price to ship - whichever amount is higher. Items will not be re-shipped "Free" regardless of your original purchase agreement. No refunds.

Shipping Delays

I am not responsible for shipping delays. As soon as the package is brought to the post office, I have no control over how the package is handed or delivered. During the holiday season, packages have a higher chance of being delayed. I do not guarantee delivery for any specific dates and will not offer a refund or replacement for mail that is still in transit. Estimated delivery dates are auto populated by Etsy and are not guaranteed delivery dates.

Lost or Missing Package

Please read and follow all of the steps outlined under the Shipping Delays FAQ section first.

If your package has not been delivered and the tracking has not updated for 30 consecutive business days, please contact me to discuss the insurance claim process.

USPS must officially declare the package as lost, in writing, for an insurance claim to be filled.

The insurance process must be followed according to the requirements set forth by the insurance company.

If the insurance claim is denied, no refund or replacement will be issued.

If the claim is successfully and the package is later found to be delivered you will be held fully responsible for returning the insurance claim payment (or equalivant value of replacement package) in full.

My Package Smells Funny

Whether it's a bone, a mummified animal part, or a professionally tanned hide, all dead things will have a scent. Due to the way I ship my items (enclosed under multiple layers), the items may appear to have a stronger, more consentrated scent at first. These items will need to air out for a few days in a non-humid environment. Over time the scent should dissipate to be less pudgent. Some people may be more sensitive to odors so please keep that in mind while making the decision to order anything involving animal remains. We do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges.
