I’ve been a tattoo artist in California for 28 years. The Mermaid’s Tale was my studio’s name for many years. I’ve evolved my brand to simply Jen Shakti as I have become well-known for my paintings, sacred tattooing and shamanic healing work.
Nature brings me to incredible places that I capture through photography which I use as references for my paintings.
I feel most at home in the Mojave desert. When I go exploring, the quiet sweeping vistas, the colors, the unique plants and the spirits of the land share their secrets with me.
My inner vision is colorfully detailed and it’s a gift to be able to illustrate my experiences of the spirit world.
My desire is to inspire people to feel wonder and catch a spark of vibrancy and magic through my art.
