Gift wrapping and packaging
At this time, we do not offer gift wrapping as an add on. An item marked as gift through an Etsy purchase means that we will not include an invoice with the package. If you do want gift wrapping, send a note and we'll see what we can do. We have, in the past, included cards with personal notes.
Do you provide layaway options?
Yes, and there is no extra charge for layaway. Simply tell us the item you would like and how much you would like to pay. We will make a listing in that amount, and in the description we'll indicate the full amount of the item, and how much you have paid toward it. When you are ready to make another payment, contact us and we'll make another listing in the amount you would like to pay. We don't really have any minimum payments, or limits on how many payments you would like to make. When we agree to a layaway, the item is essentially yours - it will not be offered to anyone else. However, if you do decide you do not want the item and want to back out of the agreement, we will keep up to 20 percent of the amount paid.
Seriously - no returns?
If our description is grossly inaccurate - description says made in Sweden but clearly says Hong Kong on the bottom - yes we will accept returns. However, we give sizes in all our listings, and photograph and describe the condition often to a fault, so please make sure you read the description and look at all the photographs. If you're not sure, ask for more info. All of our items are to some degree vintage, and will have been used. Expect some wear. We do have to use a shipping broker, and getting return items from the broker is expensive, so returns have to be sent to our Canadian address, which can be pricier.
What if my item arrives damaged?
We'll work with the delivery carrier - all the items we ship are insured for damage. But we need you to keep and photograph the damaged item, as well as the box and all the packing material. In most cases we'll give a partial refund immediately, and will wait until the carrier concludes their investigation of the damage before refunding the full amount.
