Still life painting is a cherished facet of my artistic practice. I relish the opportunity to work with flowers, fruits, vegetables, and vintage or handmade items in my still life compositions. The world of still life offers unique surprises and creative opportunities distinct from landscapes. Often, I prefer to work with unstructured arrangements, a gateway to uncovering subtle nuances that might otherwise remain hidden.

Many of my landscape pieces draw inspiration from the picturesque locales in my home state of New Jersey. Most of these are painted 'en plein air,' a method harking back to the 19th-century Impressionist movement. Painting outdoors in this manner allows me to connect with the spontaneity and beauty of nature, an experience that's nothing short of magical and transformative.
