Learn to identify common macromolecules: fatty acids, carbohydrates, peptides, and nucleic acids with Biochemi™ cards. Biochemi cards come in a 52 standard size card deck with 2 extra cards showing keys for the suits and elements. Unlike conventional card decks, the Biochemi cards replace the normal suits with biochemicals. In the Biochemi deck diamonds are replaced by fatty acids, hearts by carbohydrates, spades by nucleic acids, and clubs by peptides.

The biochemical images are shown in a space-filling mode with the standard CPK coloring scheme used in molecular modeling. Monomers are used for aces (formic acid, glucose, ATP, and methionine). The #2 cards show dimers, #3 cards show trimers, #4 cards show tetramers, #5 cards show pentamers, #6 cards show hexamers, #7 cards show heptamers, #8 cards show octamers, #9 cards show nonamers, and #10 cards show decamers. The Jacks, Kings, and Queens show larger fatty acids, carbohydrates, nucleic acids, or proteins. Structures with hydrogens are used wherever possible.

Biochemi cards can be used for all standard card games including Solitaire, Go Fish!, Rummy, Crazy Eights, Hearts (carbs), and Poker.
