It started with a thought. Us moms look at products in the store and for most of us, we want to buy the best products for our families while staying inside of our shopping budgets. For me, I had a baby with sensitive skin, so I always looked at the “natural based” and “plant based” soaps and other products however could never wrap my mind around spending close to two or three times the price of commercial brands. Yes, I would still buy soap without fragrance or dyes. After doing some research on all the other synthetic and artificial ingredients, I was surrounding my family with harmful toxins. After a few more trips to the store and looking at the “better” options I wouldn’t buy, the same thought would always go through my mind; “Why is it that the ‘plant based’ cleaners that contain ingredients that the Earth produces for free cost more than the cleaners that were born in a science lab somewhere?”. And, I’m sure there are a lot of reasons and excuses out there, that was rhetorical.

Again with a new premature baby at home and seemed sensitive to everything, I looked into how to make our own laundry soap. After trial and error with basic ingredients and found a recipe that was both gentle and effective, I still longed for the convenience of the tablets to just "pop" into the washer. So after a few more tweaks, I got it to mold and hold, and still dissolve in the wash. Then I let some friends and colleagues know what I accomplished and they asked if they buy some from me because either themselves or someone they know are also sensitive to laundry soaps. I had never even intended to sell, so I just gave it away in the very early days. But the feedback was great! Everyone loved them and wanted more.

Fast forward to today, and a new baby later, I have developed multiple household products in various recipes and scents made with natural top grade essential oils. So much love goes into each batch just like I would have made for each of my babies.
