I was 11 years old and my younger sister and I were moving to yet another foster home. We were told that we could only take a few items of clothing but I took a few of my favorite barbie dolls and stuffed them in the bottom of my bag.

Even as a little girl I understood the comfort and beauty in familiar items. I would make sailboats out of wood and old handkerchiefs and doll clothes out of old socks.

Years later, as a mother of two girls my life was completely taken over by “function” and while I raised my daughters with a healthy appreciation for crafts and projects, I never really took the time to venture off into the world of collectibles . As my girls grew older and then left the nest for college and cosmetology school, I would go thrifting to get ideas for decorating my home and pick up items here and there. Before I realized it I had become a wedgwood collector and lover of all things vintage. I get excited to go out searching for beautiful items that I can rescue and restore so that others can have the opportunity to treasure them for years to come.

In 2016 I decided to sell earrings I had made out of vintage fabric as a hobby. I was already a wedgwood lover but also had a growing collection of wares that were spilling out of my cabinets! My best friend Stacey from staceyshutch (etsy shop) convinced me to open a shop and it’s been nothing but happiness and collecting ever since! It’s great to have a best friend who loves vintage as much as I do and bringing these beautiful finds to others gives me nothing but joy!
