Frequently asked questions

How do I take care of my new toy?

1. Use only oil or water-based lube. AVOID silicone or hybrid lubes, which may damage your toy. Keep away from soaps that contain silicone derivatives (anything ending in -cone, generally).

2. For everyday cleaning, warm water and plain dish soap will suffice. To sanitize your toy, boil them for a few minutes or place them in the dishwasher (sanitize setting, no soap). Alternatively, you can use a 10% bleach to 90% water solution and soak the toy for approximately 10 minutes (do NOT boil bleach!).

3. Don't pick at your toy, cut it, bite it, or stretch it in ways it would not normally be stretched while being used as intended. Silicone is strong but not invincible; be nice to your toys and they should have a long life.

Do you do customs?

In short: no.

I realize that drops are competitive, but opening customs won't change that — you'd still be competing for custom slots. No, I won't "just open infinite slots"; this doesn't solve anything, it only makes it worse.

I also don't do toys for review or wholesale. The only "custom" I may create is one made for a custom toy trade with another reputable, well-established maker. No, I will not trade for other toys you did not make personally, and I especially will not trade for used ones.

(Yes, people really have asked to trade random used toys for a custom one. Some people may be up for this, but I'm not one of them.)

I might have a problem with my toy - is this worthy of a refund or discount?

Depends on the issue and whether it was documented.

Large/Tangible Pigment Fleck: Usually noted and discounted already. If you think I missed one, contact me before opening bag.

Small Pigment Freckles: Normal, not discounted.

Air Bubble: Air bubbles under the base not usually discounted unless numerous and severe (rare). If on another part of the base, may be discounted. If on usable/shaft portion, almost always discounted.

Fuzz On Toy: Common, not discounted. Always wash a new toy from any company before use!

Something IN Toy: Rare - if there is something embedded IN the toy, let me know. But it's more likely resting on top of it; if the item is bagged and you can't tell, message me first, and don't unbag it until directed to do so.

This item isn't perfect/isn't what I expected!

Nobody and nothing is perfect; firmness indicators are guidelines only, not ironclad promises, and photos are my best attempt at capturing the colors I see, with the tools available to me. I try to ensure that you get a product that will serve you faithfully for many years (assuming it's treated with care), but I'm not a robot, and I have good and bad days like everyone else.

Silicone is a liquid, unpredictable medium that is extremely fussy about its surrounding conditions. There will always be cosmetic anomalies in the creation process, but I won't ever intentionally send you something that could do you harm. If something slips through the cracks and I send a toy with a verifiable, major defect, it'll be dealt with appropriately.

Help, there's a problem with my package!

Item is late: Give it more time, especially with the pandemic slowing mail. Major holidays can also cause delays.

(Domestic) Item Never Arrives: If you've already waited well beyond the usual delivery time and it still hasn't shown up, you must file a claim with USPS.

(International) Item Never Arrives: If missing for 40 or more days, ask me to help you file a claim. I cannot file a claim before that point. You may be asked to sign some documents once the claim is submitted.

Package is Damaged on Arrival: Take photos of the damaged box, and if the contents within are also damaged, then take it to your local USPS office to file a claim. Do not return to sender; this will invalidate any possible claims.

Help, there's a problem with my package! (Pt II)

Package is fine but toy has undocumented flaw: DO NOT OPEN THE TOY BAG until instructed. Opening the bag constitutes acceptance of the item and I can no longer determine the source of an issue once the bag is open.

Take the clearest possible photos of the bagged item and send them to me. If there is actual damage that is my fault, I will compensate accordingly. If it is not my error, no compensation is given.

You may be asked to return the toy for further inspection (or destruction, if a dangerous defect is found).

Item color doesn't look how I expected: I take the best photos I can, but monitors, eyeballs, and environments vary. I cannot offer refunds/returns unless I have actually sent the wrong item.

Do you combine shipping?

I do NOT combine shipping at this time, due to the clunkiness of Etsy's interface. There is no built-in function for combined shipping, which makes it a hectic process, particularly when order volumes are high.

If combined shipping is something that interests you, please contact Etsy and ask them to implement this. I have asked them about it, but unless a lot of people request this function, it's unlikely they will do it on their own.

Is shipping discreet?

Absolutely. I use plain white or brown boxes and my logo/company name is not shown. The return address has my name on it. My business card is typically folded into your packing slip and tucked wherever it fits.

Customs forms list the contents as "novelty sculptures" for toys, Dicklets, and Desk Guardians.

Dicklets and Guardians may be sent in small bubble mailers of varying colors.

Do you really not allow cancellations?

I do not allow cancellations, as a general rule, in order to prevent exploitative behavior that negatively impacts other customers and myself. One major example is that some people purchase to "hold" an item for further consideration, preventing others from having a fair opportunity to purchase it.

Under certain rare circumstances — such as when I can determine that a genuine mistake has been made — I may grant a ONE TIME exception at my discretion. Forcing me to make exceptions via chargeback threats will result in a shop ban.

If you've made an error and wish to request a cancellation, please try to do so as immediately as possible after the purchase. This makes it more likely (but not guaranteed) that I can assist you.

Where is [model name or size]? I haven't seen it in a while.

I haven't discontinued any models aside from Rei (replaced by Seiryuu), so if you don't see it, it's probably either because...

A) The pours for that model/size flopped too badly to sell and there wasn't time/materials to make more for this round of drops.

B) A mold broke.

C) It hasn't been re-printed yet.

D) It received a revamp.

Most of my small toy lineup has either returned or has a finished print that needs molding, but Medium size toys are a work in progress. So are standard penetrables.

Large toys will not be returning for the foreseeable future. I wouldn't recommend holding out for them — they're so low a priority as to be nonexistent. This shop's focus is primarily on having a wider selection of small-to-medium toys.
