Frequently asked questions

Can I get a costom made item?

Yes. Some items can be costom made. Get in touch and I will be happy to check.

Where does the wood you use for your works come from?

I use salvaged wood in all my works. Early on in my career I made a decision that as much as I could, I would use fallen trees for my art. I find that this is a way to respect nature and put to good use a beautiful tree, that would otherwise be discarded.
I find that this kind of wood is also more intersting, and has a story to tell. Often these trees have deep colors, intricate grain patterns, and... well, just more character.

Care instructions for decorative peices

To ensure best condition for many years, please consider wood is better kept when dry. If needed, use soft dry towel to wipe clean. In order to restore original vivid colors, use any natural oil (best is Danish Oil or linseed oil). Apply a small amount of oil to a soft, dry cloth and apply to the wood. The wood will absorb the oil and the colors will become accentuated once more. If needed, remove excess oil with paper cloth.

Food safty and care instructions for kitchen utensils

All kitchen utensils are food safe.
I use Rustin Danish Oil, a EU approved food-safe oil, which conforms to The Articles in Contact with Food Regulations.
Wooden kitchen utensils will keep their original shine with proper care. To ensure best condition for many years, please do not let sit in water, and make sure to dry soon after use.
