My name is Gabrielle Albon and I’m the creator of the store My Fashion Faux Pas. I’m a thirty-something fashion design graduate that loves fashion and sewing! I’ve been working full time in various industries (currently property management) since graduating, but have always had a pull towards doing what I truly love which is fashion and creating fashion.
I wanted to create fashion in a sustainable way and make use of clothes I was just going to throw out. So one day I pulled out an old white tee I had, chopped it up a bit, got my sewing machine out and went to town - I shared a picture on my social media and was encouraged to go for it. Thus My Fashion Faux Pas was born!
The name came from my blog where I write about my trials and tribulations with fashion and beauty www.thefashionfauxpasofgabrielle.com which started as somewhere for me to share my hilarious fails with online shopping, but has evolved through various phases into a platform for me to share ways for you to be more sustainable with fashion, where to find the best secondhand fashion, in addition to whatever else might come to mind!
