Come and scribble owls with me in my online workshop or give as a gift to the artist in your life!
If you are looking for a guided way to explore drawing and / or mixed media art then this is the workshop for you! We are going to use an owl to focus and theme our exploration into loose and expressive drawing using pens and pencils, into layering and adding rich textures to our art and in basic use of materials like acrylic paint, pens and pencils.
There are warm-up exercises to help you build confidence with lots of tips to help you with your art and using your materials. Then we have two different projects to get stuck into, in the first main project we will build a mixed media owl piece with intuitive and organic layering and we will cover lots of different techniques including collage, mark making, painting a subject and glazing. For the second smaller project we will take a different approach and practice composition and planning skills in our mixed media art. There is even a fun bonus project to play with too! So lots to power your creativity and keep you working and playing in your own art practice beyond doing the workshop itself.
The workshop is delivered on a private webpage as mostly video but also as an online post of photos and text and a downloadable PDF with photos and text. You have unlimited access to the workshop for as long as I host it. The videos are also downloadable.
