Hi, I'm Michelle, welcome to my little shop idlehandsx (the x is silent 😂)

I've had this shop since 2014, but i had a very demanding job, so i didn't bother with it much for years. I only really started adding the items I make to my shop in 2020 when I started my new job and found i had a lot more time, and it's just grown from there...

So here's a little bit about me...
I've always loved creating, and I've always been a little bit out of the 'norm' i started making jewellery about 20 years ago doing local craft fairs, etc... like many crafty folk, I've grown and expanded over time, finding new ways to express myself, I love working with all different mediums and learning new skills to put my stamp on, I especially love working with clay and creating one of a kind sculpted pieces is my absolute favourite thing to do 🖤

I collect creepy dolls and clowns. I love all things horror and gothic. Halloween is my favourite time of the year, although it's Halloween in my house all year round 🎃

The lost boys is still and always will be my favourite movie ever!

I have adhd and I found that embracing my creative side gives me a positive outlet and keeps my mind busy, on the downside frustrating as it is for me I get bored very easily as i cannot do repetitiveness for long. My head is always buzzing with new ideas, which means I am constantly working on multiple things at once, working with different mediums and I do I tend to flit from one thing to another depending on what mood im in at the time, the amount of half finished projects I have is unreal, but I will get back to them all at some point 🙄😂

I love animals and nature, im most at peace in woodlands, and i always source all my animal bones ethically and cruelty free from a trusted source

I really do put all my heart into everything I make, as much as I love creating new items it's also my therapy and keeps me sane(ish) so I'm so grateful to my wonderful customers for helping me grow my shop 🥰

To everyone who takes time to leave lovely reviews, thank you 🥰 If I'm ever having a particularly bad MH day, I'll read through all my lovely reviews, and they really do keep me going and brighten my day so thank you all, i love you guys 🥺🖤

I'm not very good at social media (mainly because I need to buy a hands free thingy 😂) also because i sometimes just cba, but I do try and film progress videos and post videos of the things I make. I have a tiktok and Instagram which is the same name as my shop so you can follow me on both of them platforms if you want to see my knew creations, i am going to buy a tripod and start making more progress vids soon so hopefully my videos will improve 😊🖤
