CARE INFO - my doormats are made of natural coconut-coir fibers which are extremely absorbent (& a little high maintenance ) a covered porch is going to aid in prolonging your doormat but can still get wet from the wind + rain. when these absorbent fibers soak up rain/water, this inevitably causes the fibers to darken which appears like a stain. be mindful that our doormats are primarily for decorative purposes, and even though i treat them several times to alleviate any sun / water damage they are not heavy duty use. to help protect your mat + increase its longevity - you can put it away if rainy days are ahead, remove it from it’s spot outside and place it somewhere to dry fully if it does get stuck in the rain!
