After 25 years in Law enforcement and spending last 11 years as a Detective in Domestic Violence I retired looking for something peaceful. I purchased 20,000 bees days after I retired and have learned so much from them.
I also picked seashells and Glass from Lake Ontario daily calling the pieces my treasures.
It's quite cold in New York in the winter so I started lampworking beads with a torch, then fusing it in a kiln. My obsession with the happy hot glow of glass continues but I also have become addicted to crystals and wire wrapping them along with my seaglass and shells(treasures).
It feels so wonderful to make one of a kind items that make people happy instead of dealing with such sadness like I was.
Wanting more bees and keeping up with expenses I decided to start selling my items on Etsy and maybe soon a craft show.
