Each ring is made with high-quality American Solid White Gold and is suitable for daily wear. I mill these bands out of a solid piece of extruded gold, so they have no solder seams, and the metal is much harder than a cast or bench-worked piece will be. This ring is inspired by a 1731 Mourning Ring, see the 7th Photo. Made in 18k gold with black enamel these Momento Mori rings were popular in the 18th and early 19th centuries. They remind us of a loss, or that we are all mortal. The hourglass sand is running out on us all.

Each ring has a Red (or another color you pick) nanoceramic coating applied to the ring's background. The etched ridges of the background make the translucent colors sparkle in the sun. It is a stunning ring.

I chose 10k white gold with a yellow gold colored inlay. Seller was very nice and responsive and allowed me to choose the design with the two hearts with a diamond in between from another ring being sold in the shop. Sizing is correct but it’s strange because I have another ring in a size 3/4 smaller than what I ordered here that fits me more loosely than this one so idk what I’m doing wrong haha. My one and only complaint is there’s a ridge or divet in the yellow gold inlay that bugs me a little bit. I’ll include some photos of my ring!
