This is my original design for my first Peyote With A Twist Not Crochet,(Pey Twist) ;
The technique was developed by Gerlinde Lenz to reproduce the look of beaded crochet ropes and anyone that has atempted to crochet a beaded rope will appreciate this technique! Thank you so much Gerlinde because I love the look of beaded crochet ropes.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS DESIGN IS FOR THE EXPERIENCED BEADER THAT HAS A KNOWLEDGE OF PEYOTE WITH A TWIST NOT CROCHET, however there are plenty of online tutorials that will teach you how to do this; there is also a Facebook Group called Peyote with a twist not crochet that has some very valuable tips and information from lots of experienced beaders. it is not a tutorial.
This has been worked in MIYUKI DELICAS Size 11, you will need to bead more loosely with Delicas, at least until you are past the joining point.
I used a 12mm ID Beadsmith Kumihimo cord end for this necklace, depending on your tension you may need 14mm
Circumference 19 beads - 3 repeats
Length: 18 inch
Colours: 9
