This is currently my favorite Elderberry Tea recipe. Naturally sweet—I don’t need sweetener when I drink it—with a strong berry flavor and tasty spice. I don’t typically use dairy in it. . . but I will admit that mixing a strong brew of this with a little half and half and chocolate syrup was surprisingly good!
You could steep this in a cup like most of my teas, but this blend really benefits from being simmered on the stove for at least 10 minutes. I suggest making a pot. I strain it into a mason jar and keep some in the refrigerator so I can just reheat a cup in the microwave whenever I want. I always get at least 2 steeps out of this, sometimes a third if I’m patient and use a little less water the last time. (Strain the liquid into a jar, add more water to the pot and simmer again).
I've used 1 tsp of this blend for a cup and it was pleasant (especially steeped 10 minutes), but I recommend using 2 tsp per cup for the most delightful results.
100% of my ingredients are organically certified. This blend contains loose-leaf Elderberry, Rosehips, Licorice, Cinnamon and Star Anise infused with love.
The contents of the bag or tin weigh 2 oz. and provides between 7-36 servings (depending on how strong you make it and how many times you plan to steep it). You can also get a bag with double the amount in it (recommended).
When using looseleaf tea in a cup or pot you will need a tea infuser, tea ball or reusable bag to put your tea in. If you don't have one, I can supply a washable muslin drawstring bag at no extra charge. I used to simmer this on the stove, just added my ingredients to the pot and strained them out when it was done, but a muslin bag is SO much nicer!

Allergy sufferers: While I do my best to keep things clean, this product is made in a kitchen used to prepare all kinds of food including wheat, soy, nuts, etc.
Always consult with a trained medical herbalist or medical professional (not me) if you have an ongoing health condition, especially if you are taking medications. Herbs can increase or interfere with the use of some medications (that can be dangerous). Some herbs are not recommended in pregnancy or while breastfeeding. People who have allergies to certain plants should be aware that herbs in the same family could trigger those responses. Try a little before drinking more, monitor how you feel as time goes on, and only drink it if you like how you feel.
