These giclee prints are professionally reproduced from my original collage inspired by the American painter and graphic artist Robert Rauschenberg. Rauschenberg's work combined layers of non-traditional objects on a painted canvas, creating a hybrid between a painting and sculpture. I began exploring this method in order that my artwork would reflect the complexity and multi-faceted layers of life. One can see the layers of scrapbook paper and wrappers from coffee and tea bags. Additionally, coffee and tea related words taken from advertisements are incorporated.
