Midwest Crocheter and Knitter

Hi there! I am Aleta of Aleta's Knits. I am a midwesterner, wife, mother, and full time EL Teacher.

I have been crocheting for about 20+ years. It all started with my grandma. When my mom was young, Grandma would have a working rag rug. Whoever sat down beside it would add a few stitches and then go about their day. From there, my mom learned how to crochet afghan blankets, doilies, and dishcloths.

She taught me how to crochet when I was about 8. I took a break through middle school and high school, but picked crochet up again in college as a stress reliever. During that time I became interested in challenging my skills and taught myself to knit.

The house started filling up with new projects I just had to try. And so, the Etsy shop was born 😂

Nothing brings me more joy than someone loving something I made. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
